Чем детская дружба, наполненная острыми переживаниями и тонкими впечатлениями, отличается от взрослой? Мало чем. Для них также важна неподдельная искренность в общении, открытость и... благородная честность. Только в <детских> историях есть явное преимущество - они, как правило, заканчиваются хорошо.

Jazz-ensemble `Dnipro` (At the piano - Piotr Pashkov, contrabass - Felix Gershovich) has been declaring articulated eccentricity. Unrestrained hooligans, whose hair is touched with grey - really that is the the way they are!One could even recommend the saxophonist - Igor Diachenko with all his temperement - to stay back from the stage at the time of slow swings (otherwise he could turn up another thundereous hard-bop). And he actually did it. And when he joined the ensemble - nobody could escape his powerful discharge of energy. Not speaking about the drum-player! (Sergey Chmelev) Solo: step + playing at improvised materials at hand = equilibrist in jazz.
Continuing the story about the distingushied and respestable ones. Gregory Nemirovskiy, trumpet, Germany. Andrew Arnautoff, contrabass (by the way, his contrabass was manufactured in the 19 century). Alik Phantaev, drums, Israel. George Chaslam, baritone-saxophone, Oxford, Great Britain (this seems to be like authenticity). "Kiev Art Ensemble" headed by Vladimir Solyanik. Surely, band proved to be magnificent. No doubt. The most respectable musicians, true jazz, - defined as a kind of "modal" one - without any exxageration. Arnautoff/v = . 3 hours of an uninterrupted performance with a bestial grimace, aimed to express either his deep insatisfaction with things happening, or an acute toothache, but rather and most credible - an extreme concentration.
Anyway, the festival maraphon culminated in the performance of Igor Butmann quartet. Answering Solyanik question, who was leading the concert, "What are you going to play", Butman said "I do not know yet". As a result, people received an enormous endorphine dosage with the leit-motifs and melodies from the popular cartoons "Umka", "Bremen musicians", "Just you wait:", medley from folk round dances and thieves-Latin. Incomparable thinking, brilliant technical capacities, - brought the audience into the final and irreversable auditive exctasy!
Hundred years of history - within four days.

...Charmingly-fresh and quite forceful sounded the young graduates of Kiev Glier college, Solyanik students from the City Jazz. The master himself has managed to unite and bring together jazz representatives of diverse inclinations. Starting from the giant of English tenor-saxophone - George Chaslam - brilliant and talented musician, - and going further with the well-known in Kiev - Mikola Oorzsak - singer from Tuvin, who is able to impress the audience with parallel third chords, mysteriously uttered by his shaman voice. Young trumpet player - Gregory Nemirovskiy - wore his usual wonderful and sefl-confident look. He has recently left Kiev to live and work in Germany. All we can do is to wish him happiness and a lot of success in a new surroundings. As for us, we will always be glad to receive him here, in Ukraine - ART ensemble feutures the other musicians whose artistic career is divided between Ukraine and the other Western country, for instance, Andriy Arnautov, let the concert leaders forgive me, , and Kiev-Israel drum player - Olexiy Phantaev. Li Davison - black musician form the Oklachoma - performed his unsophisticated melodies, accompanied by Solianic and his friends, in a quite traditional way. His (Ukrainian for Thank you), became the only word said in Ukrainian within four days, which was met by enthusiastic applause by the audience.

"[...]Vladimir Feirtag does not stint his eloquence when talking about quintet "Gregory Nemirovski Combo" (Kiev) and quartet by Andrey Kondakov (S.-Petersburg). These two ensembles are quite different in style though they undeniably common in daring striving "not simply to display a sound", but to create certain artistic images and pictures by jazz expressiveness. Virtuous mastery of music instruments leads Gregory Nemirovsky (trumpet, piano and keyboard instruments) to painting in music, keeping obviously in pace with modern-jazz traditions starting from Brubek D.
"Avlos" turns us back to the music past

Ensemble of the early music "Avlos" was started up three years ago in Kiev. It has become, in fact, the third group within the whole Union of Independent States (together with "Hortus musicus" in Estonia and "Pro Anima" in Saint-Petersburg) playing music of XI-XVII centuries. Compositions are performed on the restored authentic instruments of that time. Concert of the ensemble which took place at the House of Organ and chamber music, attracted admirers of classical music art. The audience had a unique chance to listen to motets and conducts by Landini, Ciconia, Guillaume de Machaut and a number of compositions by anonymous authors, who lived in the XI-XIV centuries.
All the people who came to the concert of "Avlos" ensemble enthusiastically applauded to its members: Gregory Nemirovsky (medieval cornet), Tetiana Bikova (harpsichord), Taras Voloshchuk (kornomuse, fidel, violon), Georgy Volodin - in charge of restoring early wind instruments and the soloist of the House of Organ and Chamber Music - Olga Dmitrenko (organ).

Every epoque, however peculiar are its manifestations, in one way or another, feels the necessity to look into the distance, both far and back. The stronger is the rush ahead, the more intent is the search back. The degree of interest into the past inconceivably follows the law of equilibrium serving as a kind of "esthetic tuning fork". "Eternal subjects" being realized in the present, overcome a huge distance of time and artistic consciousness, with inevitable distortion in capricious and whimsical creativity of modernity, revaluation - from grotesque, chimera carnival likeness (or antinomy) to weightless and incorporeal "nominis umbre", the slightest reminiscences and again final renewal.
One of such metamorphosis taking place nowadays can be witnessed in the activity of the vocal-instrumental ensemble of the early music "Avlos". The ensemble director - Gregory Nemirovsky - is known as the author of "scandalous" eccentric opuses: "Stabat mater", "The Dialogue between Salomea and Udiff on the hemlock", "Night music for two", "Poliphonic entr'acte for 4 performers or Three realities of the night" etc. Arising out of the performance of his compositions there have been a number of curious amusing incidents. It goes about the cynical parodies of inviolable and immune subjects upon which as generally supposed was unacceptable to touch. (that is the subjects and images of religious culture). The one took it for petty hooliganism of doubted caliber, the others - for shameless blasphemy. However all the incidents were settled down quite quickly without entailing any serious consequences (as well as any followers). Since then has passed quite a lot of time and in 1996 at the II festival of early music in Uzhgorod first appeared "Avlos". Its concert repertoire displayed an increasing interest to the sources of the early sacred music with its specific atmosphere - soaring and at the same time static imagery. And step by step started to disclose the ties between at first very little related phenomena: all these "scandalous pranks", "strangeness" appeared to be quite natural, as they were intimately turned not only (and not quite so) into the future, but mostly into the past - the epoque of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
"Avlos" project embraces 7 centuries of music (X-XVII). In its repertoire observed can be the history of the European music from the very beginnings ("ars antiqua", X-XII centuries). "Ars nova" (from XVI c.) is represented by the art of minnesang. It should be noted that this music remains practically unknown. The knight art of minnesinger, troubadours и trouvers is restored by modern "spilmanns" in the songs of the wandering knight-pilgrims - Valter von der Vogelveide, Osvald von Volkenstein, genial poet and musician Guillaume de Machaut, Adam de la Halle and legendary Tanhauser. Here also sounds the famous sequence 'Die Irae", composed my the Franciscan monk - Phoma Celane.
Apart from the works by Francesko Landini, Phillip de Vitri, Solage, Ciconia, masters of the early Baroque - Gabrieli, Schutz, Freskobaldi, Biber, planned is (under the favorable financial circumstances, of which we now, alas, have to keep silent) the performance of the mass by Gioum de Masho and the program - "The art of Fugue" of the High Baroque culture.
However, so wonderful a retrospection only represents a part of the whole project. "Avlos" is looking for the possibilities to express itself in the music of the XX-th century: Stockhausen "Signs of the Zodiac", Ukrainian and foreign avant-garde and post-avant-garde. Fragile, but for now - alas! - bridge in the air, able to bring together the worlds, separated in time and culture space.
It's hard to argue the saying - the new things sometimes prove to be the well-forgot ones. The unique repertoire of "Avlos" ensemble will become, perhaps, a new esthetic reality for our "well-tempered" acoustic experience. And then within the sounds of the early polyphony, sprouting from the horizontality of diatonic pure modes, through their natural, though not quite usual for us acoustic background, even the sophisticated music admirer will hear the breath, free from inner pressure. And who knows, may be the certain images, hidden inside the contemporary art of music will display all of a sudden the well-known features, spiritual relationship and become more heartfelt for us?

One of the halls in Kiev conservatory featured the concert of a young composer - Gregory Nemirovsky.
Gregory is, in fact, still a pupil of the 11-th form, studying at a specialized Lysenko boarding school of music in Kiev, department of music theory and composition. However, his compositions display striking creative imagination being notable for an artistic imagery and insatiable search for unique style and expressiveness of the language of music.
